Charlotte's Home Care is a family-owned, non-medical home care agency here in Little Rock, founded by Charlotte Butler-Rice, who brings more than 25 years of experience in home health care and supportive services. She started out working solo in 2011, and by 2016 her clientele had grown enough to formalize the agency she still runs today. We support seniors who want to stay independent, adults living with a disability, veterans and their families, and anyone recovering from an illness, an injury or surgery. Our caregivers help with the everyday things that make home feel manageable again, from a morning routine to a warm meal to a ride to the doctor.
As a family-owned agency, we keep it personal: familiar faces in your home and one point of contact for your family. That is the whole idea, and we will keep it that way as we grow.

Non-medical care, available 24 hours a day. Every plan starts with a conversation about what the day actually looks like, then we build the help around it.

Paying for care
Home care is priced by the hour, and the honest answer is that it depends on how much help is needed and how often. Here is what moves the number, so nothing on your bill is a surprise.
We quote you plainly after the home visit, in writing, before any care starts. Most families begin with fewer hours than they expect and add to it once everyone has settled. If home care is not the right fit for your situation, we will tell you that too.

Charlotte's Home Care provides non-medical care in the client's own home, in communities throughout central Arkansas within a 50-mile radius of Little Rock. We are based on Interstate 30 East in Little Rock.

Good questions
These are the questions families actually put to us first. If yours is not here, ask it. We would rather answer honestly than have you guess.
Non-medical home care is help with daily living rather than medical treatment. A caregiver assists with bathing, dressing, meals, laundry, errands, reminders and company. It is different from home health, which is clinical care ordered by a doctor and delivered by nurses or therapists. Many families use one, some use both, and the two work fine alongside each other.
Home care is practical and personal support with everyday life. Home health is clinical: wound care, injections, physical therapy, nursing assessments. We provide home care only. If your loved one needs clinical care we will say so rather than stretching what we do.
Because we are local and family-owned. Your family has one point of contact who knows your situation, you see a familiar caregiver week to week, and decisions are made here in Little Rock, the same day.
The signs are usually quiet ones. Mail piling up, the same shirt worn several days running, food going out of date in the fridge, missed appointments, or a fall that got brushed off. If you have started worrying between visits, that is usually the moment to have a conversation.
In some circumstances, yes. Arkansas runs programs that let an eligible person direct their own care and choose who provides it, which can include a family member. Eligibility rules are specific and they change, so we will point you to the right state office rather than guess at your situation.
It depends on the hours you need and where you live. Tell us what you are looking for and we will give you a real answer, including if the honest answer is that we cannot cover it yet.
